The manual is intended for foreign students of the humanities profile, mastering the basic level of proficiency in Russian (A2). The texts of the manual tell about the most significant events of Russian culture, about its details of the first magnitude and about their wonderful creations. The uniqueness of the manual lies in the selection and organization of educational material. The language and speech material has been revised and presented in such a way that it enables foreign students to acquire knowledge about Russian culture, literature and history at a basic level of knowledge of the Russian language. Linguistic material is presented according to the principle "from simple to complex". Tasks are aimed at studying the grammar and vocabulary of the Russian language, at developing the skills of speaking and writing. The manual also contributes to the development of reading and speaking skills.
