Textbook 1) for the first time covers a number of situations specifically necessary for a philologist that are not described in other textbooks (discussion of the research progress with the supervisor and colleagues, preparation for participation in scientific conferences, selection of bibliography in the catalog, work on a computer, registration of publications and deposit of articles, work over the composition of the dissertation and abstract); 2) gives a general idea of the requirements for the dissertation research and the abstract, the basics of scientific etiquette and the procedure for defending a dissertation; 3) introduces linguistic readings at Moscow State University and international associations of language experts, gives information about publications where there is an opportunity to publish your article on the topic of the dissertation; 4) contains the "Linguist's Learning Dictionary": a list of the basic linguistic terminology included in the manual, with an interpretation and a number of creative tasks. The text of the manual distinguishes between the letters "e" and "e", which makes it easier for foreigners to read. Addressed to foreign master and postgraduate students-linguists and prepares them for professional work in Russian.
Учебное пособие 1) впервые охватывает ряд специфически необходимых филологу ситуаций, не описанных в других учебниках (обсуждение хода исследования с научным руководителем и коллегами, подготовка к участию в научных конференциях, подбор библиографии в каталоге, работа на компьютере, оформление публикаций и депонирование статей, работа над композицией диссертации и автореферата); 2) даёт общее представление о требованиях к диссертационному исследованию и автореферату, об основах научного этикета и процедуре защиты диссертации; 3) знакомит с лингвистическими чтениями в МГУ и международными объединениями словесников, даёт информацию об изданиях, где есть возможность опубликовать свою статью по теме диссертации; 4) содержит «Обучающий словарь лингвиста»: список основной лингвистической терминологии, вошедшей в пособие, с толкованием и рядом творческих заданий. В тексте пособия различаются буквы «ё» и «е», что облегчает иностранцам чтение. Адресовано иностранным магистрам- и аспирантам-лингвистам и готовит их к профессиональной деятельности на русском языке.
