The purpose of the manual is to develop students' skills in understanding oral speech based on the material of the elementary level of proficiency in Russian as a foreign language. The authors have developed a system of tasks and exercises based on the language and speech material of the lessons of the textbook in accordance with the selected thematic and lexical-grammatical material. The system involves working on different units of language and speech - from word to text. Tests are offered to check the development of students' skills. The manual contains methodological instructions for the teacher, including a description of the main phonetic difficulties and test procedures. Цель пособия — развить у учащихся навыки понимания устной речи на материале элементарного уровня владения русским языком как иностранным.
