The manual is addressed to foreign students who speak Russian at the B1-B2 level, and can also be useful to Russian and foreign students. The texts of the manual introduce students to the most important events and outstanding figures of Russian culture. Russian culture, for all its originality, appears in the context of world culture as its inseparable part. The textual and illustrative material of the manual is selected in such a way that it allows you to see the reflection of the Russian national character in cultural artifacts. A distinctive feature of the manual is that the materials collected in it (questions, tasks, tables and diagrams) are built on a comparison of elements of Russian culture with elements of other national cultures and provide students with the language and speech tools necessary to discuss the topics touched upon in the texts. The materials of the manual serve the development of all types of speech activity: reading, speaking, listening and writing. Key words and phrases of the texts have been translated into English. The manual is accompanied by a set of discs, which contains illustrations for texts, audio assignments, audio dictations and authentic texts on the topic in English.
Пособие адресовано иностранным учащимся, владеющим русским языком на уровне В1-В2, а также может быть полезным российским и зарубежным школьникам. Тексты пособия знакомят учащихся с наиболее важными событиями и выдающимися деятелями русской культуры. Русская культура, при всей своей самобытности, предстает в контексте мировой культуры как ее неотделимая часть. Текстовый и иллюстративный материал пособия подобран таким образом, что позволяет увидеть в артефактах культуры отражение русского национального характера. Отличительная черта пособия состоит в том, что собранные в нем материалы (вопросы, задания, таблицы и схемы) построены на сопоставлении элементов русской культуры с элементами других национальных культур и дают учащимся языковые и речевые средства, необходимые для обсуждения тем, затронутых в текстах. Материалы пособия служат развитию всех видов речевой деятельности: чтения, говорения, аудирования и письма. Ключевые слова и словосочетания текстов переведены на английский язык. К пособию прилагается комплект дисков, который содержит иллюстрации к текстам, аудиозадания, аудиодиктанты и аутентичные тексты по теме на английском языке.
