The manual introduces foreign students to the monuments of history and culture of Moscow over the course of 500 years of development of Russian history and architecture. It includes twelve chapters, each of which is the content of the teacher's excursions with students to different parts of old Moscow.
The structure of each section of the manual is determined by the text, the commentary to it and the system of lexical and grammatical tasks. Many tasks are given keys, which allows the use of the manual for independent student work.
The purpose of the manual is to expand the volume of regional knowledge of students on the basis of texts on sociocultural topics, increase the vocabulary and develop the skills of Russian speech.
The manual is illustrated with photographs.

Пособие знакомит иностранных учащихся с памятниками истории и культуры Москвы на протяжении 500-летнего развития русской истории и зодчества. Оно включает в себя двенадцать глав, каждая из которых представляет собой содержание экскурсий преподавателя со студентами по разным уголкам старой Москвы.
Структуру каждого раздела пособия определяют текст, комментарий к нему и система лексико-грамматических заданий. Ко многим заданиям даны ключи, что позволяет использовать пособие для самостоятельной работы учащегося.
Цель пособия — расширение объема страноведческих знаний учащихся на основе текстов социокультурной тематики, увеличение лексического запаса и развитие навыков русской речи.
